The first annual DREAMWEEK JAX 2019 will occur from January 18 – 26, 2019 with a mission to showcase Jacksonville Florida as the Dream City of the millennia in culture, art, business, and social progress. Organizers are holding an official pre-launch and information event October 18 at Beaver Street Enterprise Center, the official DREAMWEEK JAX Business Theme HQ. The community is invited and may RSVP via 904Tix or Eventbrite.

“This recognition and celebration of Jacksonville’s evolution as a dream city since its founding in 1562 is long overdue,” says Dr. V Brooks Dunbar, DREAMWEEK JAX co-founder and Florida native. There is so much history, art, and culture here and few inside and outside of Jacksonville know about it. We want to bring out the positive and allow people to see Jacksonville through a broader lens.”

DREAMWEEK JAX is a one-of-a-kind, multi-dimensional, multi-day event that provides an increasingly rare opportunity for cross-sector communication and community engagement. It includes everything from engaging community events, unique partnerships, a DREAMTelling Event (watch out TEDx), and an outstanding DREAMWEEK SUMMIT. Events & activities are designed to strengthen the bonds between established and emerging groups, organizations, and nonprofits located downtown, in Duval County and the greater First Coast.

DREAMWEEK JAX invites individuals, groups and organizations to meet, greet and share ideas about how they are growing and sustaining Jacksonville, Florida, by living, launching, or pursuing their dream as we showcase the best the city has to offer as a downtown destination and beyond. All organizations throughout the First Coast are invited to elevate their programs and introduce new ideas by participating in the week-long showcase.
